You can change from Centigrade to Fahrenheit
It has an Auto Hold
It has an Audible alarm
A Red Neon Alarm
Auto Off… facility
The settings on the 106 Thermometer when they are dispatched are as follows…
Temperature Reading is set on °C
Auto Hold is OFF
Audible Alarm is OFF
Red Neon Alarm is ON
Auto Off is ON
IMPORTANT!
The Auto Off is a most important setting; this should always be set to On.
This way the thermometer will automatically turn itself Off after 10 Minutes.
If this is set to OFF the thermometer will not switch off and the batteries will run down. If you feel your batteries are not lasting long,
check your thermometers Auto OFF settings.
How to check your thermometers settings…
Firstly… Press the On/Hold button until the thermometer switches OFF
You now have a blank screen
Press the On/Hold button and keep it pressed until you see only °C on the right hand side … you are now into to the set-up mode. (To change to °F press the up button) if you want °C just press the On/Hold button again to move to the next setting.
AUTO HOLD (Set on OFF) (if you want to change this press button)
Next a picture of a Speaker… Audible Alarm…Set to OFF.
Next a picture of a light bulb (RED LED alarm) ….Set to ON.
Next is the AUTO OFF setting, this should be set to ON…
(If set to OFF press the button to change to ON)
PRESS the ON/Hold Button once more to exit the set-up mode and return to the normal operating, current temperature will be displayed on the screen and you are ready to take temperatures… the setting you have set will be saved and you should not have to alter them, if however different people operate the thermometer the settings should be checked at different intervals to ensure they are set correctly.
